Here, you’ll find the lineup of dogs eagerly seeking foster homes. The information we have on them is sometimes limited, but we’re all about transparency, and we’ll share every bit of knowledge we’ve got.
Since we don’t have a brick-and-mortar shelter, the path to safety for these dogs begins with foster families like yours. As such, it’s usually not be possible to meet your foster buddy before bringing them home.
This is Beryl! He can be best described as chill and cuddly at home. He has struggled with meeting new people, but with proper management and methods, he is getting better! He can make friends with other dogs but prefers his own space with no other dogs in the home. He is fully kennel trained and house trained. He is working on his leash manners and impulse control, as well as reactivity on walks. He would not do well with dogs or cats and prefers children to be 12 years of age or older!
Meet Rally! Rally was adopted from us six years ago, but due to some recent changes in her family, things have become a bit disrupted, leaving her feeling uneasy and causing conflicts with the resident dog. Rally is a spirited dog with great energy and loves people. She would do best in a home without other dogs or cats but gets along well with kids.
This is Miller! Miller was adopted in 2016 and now being returned. He has torn cruciates in both legs and ears that have been riddled with infections from allergies. This poor guy has been in pain for far too long and really needs help. He’s a big guy who needs lots of TLC, but that’s what MUR is good for. He’d love a house with minimal stairs (a few is fine!) And a fenced yard would be amazing but not a deal breaker. He would not do well with dogs or cats for now and he needs any children in home to be 16 years of age or older.
Meet Nebula! Nebula is looking for a new foster to continuing his confidence building. He is a very sweet puppy who is easily spooked by noises. His ideal home includes a confident doggy friend, a house (no condos or apartments) with a fenced in yard, and someone with a lot of patience. He does well with dogs and kids who are older, he would not do well with cats.
Meet Grace! The mama to the Jailhouse litter! She is currently looking for a foster to learn and become the dog she is meant to be now that her mom duties are done. She is good with cats, kids and dogs (with slower intros)
Meet Lotta! Lotta is in need of a new foster. She is the momma to the warrior litter who have all since been adopted. It’s now her turn to find her furever home. Thanks to her current fosters, Lotta has come a long way with her reactivity towards dogs. However she will still need management in place, as she isn’t too keen on seeing other dogs out for a walk. She does well with new people and can impress you with her plethora of commands that she knows. She’s great in kennel and fully house trained. Can anyone help this special girl? She would do well in a home with kids and cats that are dog savvy, she would not do well with other dogs.
Meet Manuka! Manuka seeks a patient and understanding foster home. She can be shy and initially reactive and requires a home that will respect her boundaries. She does well in her kennel at night and when you are away at work. Once comfortable, she’ll be a great addition to the family! Suitable for dogs, unknown with cats, and best suited for kids 12+.
Say Hi to Eidie! Eidie is looking for a home where she can continue working on calm introductions to new people. She is not the type of dog who likes a lot of action and would prefer a calm home. She is food motivated, a cuddler and is muzzle and kennel trained! She has a training plan already in place with support from partnering trainers as well as our behaviour team. Ideally Eidie would be able to have a room where she is separated from the other dogs in the house while settling in to her new surroundings. Eidie is good with respectful dogs given proper intros and she is good with cats who are dog savvy, but she would not do well with kids at any age.
